Emmanuel University Kinesiology & Sports Management Department

Located within the School of Math, Science & Kinesiology (MASK), the Department of Kinesiology and Sports Management offers two majors: Kinesiology and Sports Management.

Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology

The Kinesiology program offers four concentrations tailored to students’ career interests:

  1. Pre-Physical Therapy: Prepares students for Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) graduate programs.
  2. Pre-Occupational Therapy: Prepares students for Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) graduate programs.
  3. Pre-Athletic Training: Prepares students to become nationally certified athletic trainers after completing a master’s degree in athletic training.
  4. Sports Medicine: Prepares students for careers in health and wellness, working in schools, communities, hospitals, commercial health and fitness clubs, and state, federal, and corporate wellness programs.

Bachelor of Science in Sports Management

The Sports Management program prepares students for diverse career opportunities within the sports industry. It combines a solid background in sports with a strong business curriculum, equipping students with the skills needed for management-level positions in areas such as:

  • Organized sports
  • Professional sports teams
  • College athletic departments
  • Sports communication
  • Public relations firms
  • Sports agencies
  • Health and fitness facilities
  • Parks and recreation departments
