Graduation Info

Caps and gowns will be distributed from the Registrar’s Office.  Graduates will be notified of when they are available.  After pick-up, let the Registrar’s Office know if there are any problems with the cap and/or gown. These are not rental items and do not have to be returned after the ceremony. 

The large class of graduates will necessitate the requirement for tickets for each graduate’s guest. The maximum number of tickets per student will be eight (8) tickets, distributed by the Registrar’s Office at the time of pick up of Caps and Gowns.

Group pictures will be made prior to the ceremony. Location to be determined. Be prompt and dressed in your cap and gown for a group picture with your class and department. Individual photos will be made on stage during the ceremony.

Diplomas will be distributed on stage if there are no outstanding coursework or financial obligation. Please be sure to settle any outstanding account balance, including fines. Complete Financial Aid Exit Counseling as directed by the Financial Aid Office.

Transcripts may be requested at www.getmytranscript.com.  Telephone and email requests will not be accepted.  There is a fee for all transcript requests.

Directions

From Atlanta: Take I-85 North to EXIT 160- Royston/Elberton. Turn RIGHT onto GA-51 and continue for approx. 10 miles. Turn RIGHT onto GA-145 and continue for approx. 1/2 mile. Turn LEFT onto US -29 and continue for approx. 1/2 mile. The Swails Center will be on the left.  

From Athens: Take US-29 North approximately 25 miles. The Swails Center will be on the left. 

From Greenville: Take I-85 South to EXIT 173 – Lavonia/Toccoa. Turn RIGHT onto GA-17 and continue to follow GA-17 about 12 miles. Turn RIGHT onto US-29 and continue for approx. 2 miles. The Swails Center will be on the right.
