Overview of the Aid Process

The financial aid process may look very different depending on a student’s age, high school graduation date, transfer status , and numerous financial factors. Below you will find various checklists reviewing the steps to the financial aid process.

Choose the checklist that best matches your current enrollment status.

HIgh School Graduates

Apply for a FSAID. This is your ID and password required to complete and sign all federal aid documents such as the FAFSA, Stafford Loan, and PLUS loan documents.
File the FAFSA. All U.S. citizens must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Families that do not qualify for federal aid may chose to waive filing the FAFSA in subsequent years.
File the EC Application for Aid. All students should file the Emmanuel University Application for Aid (ECAFA) in their first year of enrollment. This application is reviewed annually to assess eligibility for various institutional scholarships. Students will file this application one time only. Once on file it is good for the entire period of enrollment. This application is available through your NetPartner account.
GA residents should file the application for the HOPE and GA Tuition Equalization Grant (GTEG). In-state students may qualify for academic scholarships based on their high school GPA and/or SAT scores.
Create a login for our campus aid management tool, NetPartner. Instructions for doing so can be accessed under the ‘Access My Financial Aid Information‘ link to your left.
Complete all missing documents listed on your Financial Aid Documents tab in NetPartner. Check back routinely as additional documents may be added as you accept or decline aid.
Accept or Decline aid in NetPartner. Your aid isn’t final until you accept the aid, or portions of aid, offered to you and you have completed all documents associated with each specific award. Check NetPartner regularly to see if new documents have been requested.

Transfer Students

File a renewal FAFSA. Using your FSAID to login to the FAFSA website and file a renewal FAFSA. Add Emmanuel College using school ID #001563. If you’ve already filed your FAFSA and did not list Emmanuel College as a recipient, simply login on the FAFSA website and make a correction to add our school code.
File the EU Application for Aid. All students should file the Emmanuel University Application for Aid (ECAFA) in their first year of enrollment. This application is reviewed annually to assess eligibility for various institutional scholarships. Students will file this application one time only. Once on file it is good for the entire period of enrollment. This application is available through your NetPartner account.
GA residents should file the application for the HOPE and GA Tuition Equalization Grant (GTEG). In-state students may qualify for academic scholarships based on the number of credits earned and a minimum HOPE GPA of 3.0.
Create a login for our campus aid management tool, NetPartner. Instructions for doing so can be accessed under the ‘Access My Financial Aid Information‘ link to your left.
Contact your prior college and request that any federal or state aid packaged for the upcoming school year be cancelled. Emmanuel may be blocked from offering you aid if your prior school has already awarded federal and/or state funds to you.
Complete all missing documents listed on your Financial Aid Documents tab in NetPartner. Check back routinely as additional documents may be added as you accept or decline aid.

International Students
