Emmanuel University is proud to work with various private lenders that offer educational loans outside of the Direct Stafford Loan program. Emmanuel University is pleased to partner with EU alum and friends involved in private foundations or businesses that have created scholarship programs specific to Emmanuel University. These scholarships are available for new students planning to attend Emmanuel University. Application instructions and additional details can be found on the specific donor partner page.

• Turlington-Rix Foundation Scholarship

Scholarship award to a student in need who meets the criteria. This is a $24,000 scholarship ($6,000/year for four years) to help pay for an excellent education at Emmanuel.

• IPHC Scholarship (Undergraduate Students ONLY)

APPLICATIONS DUE ANNUALLY BY APRIL 1st

• IPHC Graduate School Scholarship

On behalf of Church Institutions, Discipleship Ministries is receiving applications for the $5,000 Graduate School Scholarship. Only IPHC members are eligible and must submit a transcript showing graduate-level enrollment. For more information call 405-792-7152 or email discipleship@iphc.org.

• The Blanche L. King Scholarship

APPLICATION DUE ANNUALLY BY JULY 1st

The Blanche L. King Scholarship program is funded by the Women’s Ministries of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church to assist children of IPHC Missionaries in furthering their education at one of the denominational colleges. The scholarship is named in honor of the third General Woman’s Auxiliary (now Women’s Ministries) President and the wife of Bishop J.H. King.

Mrs. King had the distinction of being the first teacher hired for Franklin Springs Institute (now Emmanuel University) in 1919 and gave the baccalaureate address for the 50th anniversary of the college in 1969. She had a deep love for the education of children of missionaries.

Scholarship amounts vary from year to year, due to the number of applications and the funds raised. Students must apply for the scholarship every semester. For more information contact women@iphc.org.

AmeriCorps provides full-time educational awards in return for community service. You can work before, during or after your post-secondary education, and you can use the funds either to pay current educational expenses or to repay federal student loans. Businesses and labor organizations: Many companies, businesses and labor organizations have programs to help employees or members and their families pay for post-secondary education. Ask about scholarship programs and the application process.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs: If you (or your spouse) are a veteran or you are the dependent of a veteran, veterans’ educational benefits may be available. Information is available at www.gibill.va.gov or call 1-888-442-4551.

Public libraries and the Internet are excellent sources of information on state and private sources of financial aid. When using either, search using keywords like “financial aid,” “student aid,” “scholarships,” etc. We recommend students start with www.fastweb.com.
