If you have a passion for music and a heart for ministry, the Worship Ministry Minor will equip you to lead others in authentic, Christ-centered worship. Designed to complement any bachelor’s degree, this minor provides practical training in music, worship leadership, and spiritual formation while preparing you to serve in churches, ministries, and worship teams.
Whether you dream of leading worship, serving on a ministry team, or growing your musical gifts for God’s Kingdom, this program will help you develop the skills and confidence to lead with excellence.
Admission Requirements
The Worship Ministry Minor is available to qualified students who are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in another academic discipline.
Program Requirements
To earn the Worship Ministry Minor, students must:
-Complete all requirements for their bachelor’s degree.
-Complete 18 credit hours of Worship Ministry coursework.
-Earn a grade of C or higher in every course required for the minor.
-Complete additional coursework if more than two courses are shared between the student’s major and minor.
-Receive approval for any course substitutions through the University’s Course Substitution/Waiver process.
Christian Ministries Core Requirements
Students pursuing a Christian Ministries minor will complete the following substitutions:
BI 140 – Old Testament in place of ECF 111 – Christian Living
BI 141 – New Testament in place of ECF 200 – Gospel of John
PY 300 – Spiritual Formation or MN 210 – Spirit Formed Life in place of ECF 212 – Practical Christianity
