The Kinesiology Minor at Emmanuel University gives students the opportunity to expand their understanding of the science behind human movement, exercise, wellness, and athletic performance. Designed for students pursuing a variety of majors, this minor provides valuable knowledge and practical skills that can complement careers in healthcare, fitness, coaching, education, athletics, and other allied health professions.
With the growing demand for professionals who understand the connection between movement, health, and performance, the Kinesiology Minor allows students to build a strong foundation in the field while pursuing their primary area of study.
Program Goals
The goal of the Kinesiology Minor is to equip students with additional knowledge and skills that will enhance their preparation for careers in professional allied health fields and other areas related to human performance and wellness.
Program Requirements
To earn the Kinesiology Minor, students must:
-Complete all requirements for their bachelor’s degree.
-Complete 18 credit hours of Kinesiology coursework.
-Earn a grade of C or higher in each required course.
-Complete additional coursework if more than two courses are shared between the student’s major and minor.
-Receive approval for any course substitutions through the University’s Course Substitution/Waiver process.
