- Accountability
Accountable to the Environmental Services Coordinator
- Qualifications
High School Diploma, experience in housekeeping, custodial services preferred, but not required.
- Essential Job Functions
- Maintain a professional and courteous image at all times in action and conversation to internal and external customers.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks as instructed.
- Ability to follow the assigned work schedule, be on time and dependable.
- Be flexible to work evenings and/or weekends as needed
- Interact well with others
- Hear and understand both direct and telephone conversations
- Read, understand, and apply detailed instructions
- Regularly lift and carry objects weighing 40 pounds or less
- Wear proper safety equipment and maintain a safe work environment
- Be able to move about the campus freely.
- Duties
- Maintains a clean campus environment.
Examples of work but not limited to:
- Vacuums designated areas
- Dusts
- Mops
- Maintains clean restroom facilities
- Properly disposes of trash
- Recognizes problems and reports immediately to direct supervisor.
- Works in a timely and efficient manner without close supervision.
- Is knowledgeable about safety precautions when using certain cleaning chemicals.
- Is skilled in the use and care of tools used in environmental services.
- Works effectively with fellow employees.
- Has experience in housekeeping or custodial fields.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
