Athletic Center Customer Service Representative (CSR)

Facility: Emmanuel University 
Employment Type: Part-time
Location: Franklin Springs, Georgia
Department:  Auxiliary Services
Hours of Work:  Various – includes days, evenings, & weekends
Benefits Eligible:  No
Minimum Education:  High School Diploma, some University preferred 
Experience/Skills: General knowledge of athletics, ability to deliver exceptional customer service,
strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Preferred applicants will have or be willing to
obtain valid CPR and First Aid certifications.

Emmanuel University requires background checks and drug screens of final candidates for
employment. Employment is contingent upon successful results of both.

What You Will Do:

  1. Serve as the building supervisor and provide customer service support to University students,
    wellness center members, and visitors at the Athletic Center.
  2. Ensure that all patrons check in and abide by policies
  3. Ensure that facility users and staff adhere to proper health and safety practices.
  4. Address safety concerns as they arise.
  5. Confer regularly with Program Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and evaluate
    activities/programs/facilities, exchange information, investigate, and resolve problems, and the
    like.
  6. Educate staff and community users on proper athletic facilities policies and procedures.
  7. Be able to close out the register at the end of the day.
    Essential Job Functions:
  8. Be flexible in regard to hours worked

  10. Gather facts and draw conclusions to make sound decisions
  11. Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
  12. Move about the facility freely
  13. Interact with patrons and provide the highest level of customer service at all times.
  14. Assist with set-up and security for events and programs.
  15. Responsible for opening and closing of the facility.
  16. Maintain a clean environment throughout the facility.
  17. Must be dependable and willing to work evening and weekend hours.
  18. Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  19. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Knowledge of building operations and support.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Have or obtain valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Ability to deal with a wide range of University students and personnel, as well as community
    facility users and others outside the University.
  • General knowledge of facility and program offerings.
  • Enforce all facility rules, policies, and regulations.
