Ye, Dr. Ningjun (Nina)
Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Ningjun (Nina) Ye is a Professor of Mathematics. She earned her BA in English Education
from Jiangsu Normal College in China, and her MS in Mathematics and PhD in Math Education
from the University of Southern Mississippi.
After teaching middle and high school in China for over fifteen years, Dr. Ye moved to the U.S.,
where she has taught college mathematics for more than two decades, including over a decade at
Emmanuel University. Her scholarship focuses on pedagogical approaches to mathematical
problem solving. She is the first author of Assessing the Impact of a Computer-Based College
Algebra Course (Scholars’ Press, 2014), and her article Iteration of Triangles appeared in
Mathematical Culture (2014).
Dr. Ye was saved while pursuing her PhD in the U.S. Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 41:10: “So
do not fear, for I am with you… I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
