Ye, Dr. Ningjun (Nina)
Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Ningjun (Nina) Ye, Associate Professor of Mathematics, holds BA in English Education from Jiangsu Normal College in China, MS in Math and PhD in Math Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Dr. Ye’s lifelong dream has been teaching and teaching with faith integration. With over 15 years of high school and middle school teaching experience in China, Dr. Ye came to the U.S. and has been teaching in college level for 20 years and serving Emmanuel University for 9 years. Besides teaching, Dr.Ye also enjoys cooking, walking, playing Erhu and Ping Pang.
Dr. Ye has published papers on new pedagogical approaches to solving mathematical problems that may be interesting to college students for widening their mathematical knowledge. Her book with Dr. Sherry Herron, “Assessing the impact of a computer-based college algebra course,” was published in Scholars’ Press, 2014, ISBN-13: 978-3-639-70847-9. Her article about “Iteration of Triangles” appeared in Mathematical Culture in 2014.
Dr. Ye was saved in the US when she was a PhD student. Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
