Adjunct Professor of History
I am Mr. Chris Callaway, and I am an Adjunct Professor of History at Emmanuel University. I hold an Ed.S. degree in Education from Lincoln Memorial University (2000), an M. A. degree in Social Science Education from Piedmont University (1999) , and a B.A. degree in History from Georgia State University (1994). Beyond my work in higher education, I taught high school Social Studies at Hart County High School from 1994-2024, and presently teach Social Studies at Mountain Education.
I am married to Terrie, and I have four wonderful children (three and an in-law): Derek, Devan and his wife Lindsey, and Lauren. I am also Grandaddy to Olivia and Parker. When I am not teaching at Emmanuel, you will find me with my family either hanging out, travelling to some historic place, or assisting the kids with some delicious meal.
