Dr. Scott C. Bryan begins his 12th year of teaching at Emmanuel University with 37 years of teaching experience in the field of Exercise Science. Dr. Bryan primarily teaches in pre-physical/occupational therapy and exercise physiology including courses in sports psychology, exercise testing and prescription, tests and measurements, sports nutrition, and exercise physiology. Dr. Bryan also teaches sport management courses which include sport management and contemporary issues in sport.
Dr. Bryan has seen scores of students graduate from EC’s Kinesiology and Sports Management program go on to successful careers in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy. Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning, Physician Assistant and Sports Management.
Scott and his wife, Nancy, have been married for 43 years. They have three sons: Jeremy (EC ’11) and his wife Katlyn Moncrief Bryan (EC ‘12) and their son reside in Monroe, GA, where he is a pastor; Justin and his wife, Hilary, and three children reside in Columbus, Indiana, where he works as a mechanical engineer; and Jordan, (EC ‘16) and his wife have one daughter and live and work in Greensboro, North Carolina, where he is a Fire Fighter/EMT and Shannon is an emergency transport nurse.
“My mission is to love, equip and inspire people to maximize their potential in service to God and humankind.” To that end, Scott is passionate about working with college students to help them find and fulfill God’s call for their life.
