The Psychology Minor provides students with a deeper understanding of human behavior, development, and mental processes while complementing virtually any bachelor’s degree. Whether you’re preparing for a career in business, education, healthcare, ministry, criminal justice, or graduate school, studying psychology will strengthen your ability to understand, communicate with, and serve others.
Admission Requirements
Students pursuing a Psychology Minor must have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all completed coursework.
Program Requirements
To earn the Psychology Minor, students must:
-Complete all requirements for their bachelor’s degree.
-Complete 18 credit hours in Psychology.
-Earn a grade of C or higher in every required course.
-Complete additional coursework if more than two courses are shared between the student’s major and minor.
-Receive approval for any course substitutions through the University’s Course Substitution/Waiver process.
Required Courses
Students complete 6 credit hours of required Psychology coursework:

Psychology Electives
Students will also complete 12 credit hours of upper-level Psychology electives.
Choose four additional Psychology courses from the University’s Psychology offerings that are not already required as part of your major.
