The Middle Grades Education Major leads to the Bachelor of Science degree and prepares students for a teaching career in grades four through eight. The Middle Grades Program is designed to develop knowing, sharing, and caring teachers with a Christian philosophy who are specialists in at least two content areas.
Concentrations
Students majoring in Middle Grades Education are required to take 15-21 semester hours in two concentrations in addition to the professional education courses. These concentrations are chosen from the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, or social studies.
