Roundtable, sponsored by the English department, is a multi-disciplinary group that meets monthly to discuss literature, philosophy, theater, film, and other creative works. Each meeting is planned and presented by a rotating panel of students and faculty sponsors. Any student, staff, or faculty member who enjoys food, fellowship, and stimulating discussion is invited to participate whenever possible. Roundtable provides opportunities to meet other people with similar interests, a forum for organized discussions of ideas and media, and a spark to light creativity and lifelong learning outside the boundaries of the classroom.

POV (Film Club)
The purpose of POV (Film Club) is to examine through films the various aspects of human nature and, by doing so, becoming more aware of ourselves and others through opportunities that proffer intellectual, social, and spiritual growth. Our goal is to become more aware of the human condition through the discussion of characters and themes in film and to engage the campus / community in this discussion. POV uses no screening process to determine the qualification of its members. Membership is free and available to all faculty, staff, and students of Emmanuel University. There are no opportunities for members to serve as officers – elected or otherwise –meetings and activities will be guided by the collective agreement of its sponsor and members. POV will meet officially once a week for the purpose of watching and discussing selected films and, beyond this, as needed for club- sponsored activities or events. The official meeting times will be determined by its members.
Prayer and Philosophy
For those who want to think faithfully and worship thoughtfully, Prayer and Philosophy is a monthly gathering where we pray the Daily Office, then engage with a segment of a book we read together over the course of the school year. This might be the brainiest Small Group you’ve ever joined!
