Emmanuel, North Georgia Tech Update Articulation Agreement

Earlier this month, representatives from Emmanuel College and North Georgia Technical College met at the NGTC Currahee Campus to sign an updated articulation agreement between the two institutions.

The original agreement was signed in Spring 2017 and spelled out the transfer of course credits into Emmanuel’s Elementary Education program from North Georgia Tech’s Child Development program.

The updated agreement signed this week now includes the transfer of course credits from NGTC to Emmanuel College’s programs in Diversified Agriculture, Criminal Justice and Business Administration.

“Partnering with North Georgia Tech can only help agriculture, business, criminal justice, and education students in the North Georgia area meet their professional and personal goals,” said Emmanuel Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. John Henzel. “We are grateful to the administration of North Georgia Tech for making this agreement possible.”

Emmanuel President, Dr. Ron White believes the new agreement will make the transfer process easier for NGTC students interested in completing their degree at Emmanuel.

“Agreements like the one we have with NGTC create seamless transfers which makes this a win/win for everyone, “he said.

The updated articulation agreement augments a more general agreement that the Technical College System of Georgia (of which NGTC is a member) already has with the Georgia Independent College Association (of which Emmanuel is a member) for transfer of courses from TCSG schools to GICA schools. Specifically, the current agreement will allow courses to transfer between Emmanuel and North Georgia Tech that are not included on that TSGC/GICA document.
